A 20-story garment district building with a steady influx of new, young tech companies which originally had a large 1960’s box lobby as a main entrance. This lobby also serves as a dining area for an adjacent food vendor.

To unify the new relationships, an arrangement of steel “vines” and perforated stainless steel “leaves” was conceived as an intermediary ceiling structure illuminated from above and below. Newly exposed walls were covered in grey palisandro and all elevator-related surfaces covered in copper finished brass.
